Zhanym/my family

The story of a large family from Kazakhstan represented by an adopted daughter. Events cover the life of three generations of the Abenov family. The storyteller had a chance to look at all the event from inside and to be also a direct participant in all the peripeties. Natalia decided to write a book about people with whom she was lucky to live, and about their relatives. The story begins at the times of the USSR. The first generation was brought up in the 60s, and this specific time reflected on them largely. Children of the Abenovs were born in rebellious times. Everything went to the collapse of the Soviet Union and the redistribution of territories. People hardly had time to recover from the new order and got into the chaotic 1990s. The rise of crime, the time of unemployment and crisis. All this has become the exact opposite of the status of “golden youth”, to which all paths were open in a huge international utopian state. Faced with brutal reality, the second generation of Abenovs fully realized their strength.
