Sergei works in a private security agency. Once, on his way home, he saves a stranger from a bullet, and receives a wound. The saved man turns out to be the famous banker Bachurin. After Sergei’s recovery, Bachurin invites him to work as his bodyguard. By the will of fate, the wife of the banker is Sergei’s former lover Yulia – in the past Sergei refused to marry her because of his dangerous profession. A young woman is pregnant and asks Sergei not to tell her husband about the past. Bachurin, however, tells the bodyguard about his life: he had a family, but his little son disappeared, and his wife committed suicide – jumped from the roof of the house and died. Life in the house goes on as usual, but a terrible thing happens – Yulia falls from the stairs. There is no chance to save her and the child is placed in a pressure chamber. The baby needs a bone marrow donor, and Sergei has suitable data. By chance, Bachurin learns about the past relationship between Yulia and Sergei, and begins to doubt his paternity. He fires the bodyguard, but is not going to refuse the child. Further events gather like a snowball. Sergei discovers a certificate of adoption: his dead parents were not his biological parents. He finds a gypsy woman who brought him to an orphanage, and she gives him a medallion with a photograph … of the son of Bachurin’s housekeeper. He runs to her for clarification. A woman in hysterics reveals the truth: Sergei’s father is none other than Bachurin, and she takes revenge on the death of her son Stas: she stole little Sergei, threw his mother off the roof, hired killers and pushed Yulia from the stairs. At that, the elderly woman, dreaming of a meeting with her son in heaven, asks everyone for forgiveness – otherwise, her soul will not meet the soul of Stas. They forgive her, and she dies with a calm soul! Bachurin, the father of two sons, adult and little one, is waiting for secure retirement!
